FENRIR GREYBACK

Fenrir Greyback is a vicious werewolf, the kind who gives nice, decent werewolves like Remus Lupin a bad reputation.  It was Fenrir who actually bit Lupin as a child and thus condemned him to a life of fear, loathing and contempt by fellow, "normal" wizards.  Fenrir has no love for wizards or muggles.  His hatred, based on his own miserable life, is enormous... this guy needs a lot of therapy!

In HBP, he attacks Bill Weasley, but he was not a werewolf at that precise moment so the full effect of the bite is not yet known.  Let's hope that enjoying rare steak is the only side affect Bill realizes.

I wonder if Peter Pettigrew's silver hand will be used against Greyback?  Since it seems, from what Jo has said, that Lupin won't be a victim of the hand (yeah) then I think Greyback is the perfect guinea pig to test Wormtail's new appendage's talents upon.

(PROFESSOR)  FILIUS FLITWICK

Charming little fellow, Professor Flitwick is the Charms instructor.  Small in stature he is nonetheless a very skilled wizard and an especially proficient dueling expert.  We haven't seen proof of this but someone told Hermione that Flitwick was a dueling champion when he was younger.  (I wonder who told Hermione that.)  Maybe we'll get to see just how good he is.  Hope so.  More hints about Professor Flitwick being summoned.

FLEUR DELACOUR

Fleur finished last in the Tri-Wizard Tournament but she still took first place in Bill Weasley's opinion. Both Fleur and Bill now work for Gringott's (OotP) and Bill apparently is helping the lovely French flower improve 'er Inglez. How romantic.  And, I’m sure I hear Fleur singing “wedding bells are ringing for moi and my Bill.”

Remember that Fleur is part Veela.  She may have to turn on her charms if she and Bill get caught up in a goblin rebellion. I wonder if goblins are impervious to Veela allure?

FLORENCE - MYSTERY WOMAN?

Who is she?  And who was kissing her behind the greenhouses?  Obviously they aren't going to kiss and tell right now.

FLORIAN FORTESCUE

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE CREAM.  If you like ice cream (and who doesn’t) then go to Florian Fortescue’s ice cream parlor in Diagon Alley.  In Harry’s third year, after he ran away from his aunt’s and uncle’s, he spent a week in Diagon Alley, and several of those days he enjoyed free ice cream cones courtesy of Mr. Fortescue.  By the way, my Fortescue is also a very bright and knowledgeable historian.  He helped Harry with his History of Magic homework, and even made it enjoyable and interesting.

So where’s Mr. Fortescue these days… these days being the start of Harry’s 6th year at Hogwarts.  While on their annual school supplies excursion in Diagon Alley, Harry, Hermione, and the Weasley’s learn that the ice cream parlor is a deserted, boarded up, ramshackle mess, and worst of all, Florian Fortescue is missing!  Has he become another Death Eater victim?  Nobody mentions seeing the Dark Mark over his ice creamery, nor is there a body to prove his death.  Was he fearful of his life and ran off to hide in parts unknown?  Maybe, but I don’t think so.  Both Mr. Fortescue and Mr. Ollivander, the wand maker, disappeared around the same time.  Mr. Ollivander’s shop was not disturbed which suggests an interesting contrast in possible methods of abduction?  What if Lord Voldemort decided he wanted the wand master to create a new wand for him and so sent his Death Eaters to kidnap Mr. Ollivander?  Then suppose, Mr. Fortescue, being Mr. Ollivander’s friend, witnessed what was happening, but before he could call for help or escape, the Death Eater’s decided to abduct him too… but not without a struggle.

Or maybe it is the other way around?  Lord Voldemort wanted an ice cream cone and a history lesson, and so kidnapped ol’ Florian; and ol’ Ollivander was brought along to whip up a sundae using his entire wand inventory?  It’s a stretch, I know, but I wouldn’t be surprised to find both men unwilling guests of You-Know-Who.

FRANK LONGBOTTOM (NEVILLE'S DAD)

What do we really know about Frank Longbottom?  He was an auror.  He’s in St. Mungo’s (along with this wife, Alice) because he went mad after Bellatrix Lestrange tortured him with the Cruciatus Curse.  At J.K.R.’s site, on the awards page, there is an award with Frank Longbottom’s name on it.  Anybody know what that is for?  More research required so looks like it’s back to the library.   I might have to sneak into the reserved section.

FRED AND GEORGE WEASLEY

These two are very smart even if they did only get 6 O.W.L.S between them.  Really!! They haven’t had time to study. They’ve been too busy being entrepreneurs, creating jokes and jinxes for their magical joke shop.  And from the look of how they’ve done so far I think they will become rich, famous, and successful wizards extraordinaire.  I think that some of their inventions could be very useful diversions against the likes of You-Know-Who and his followers.  How about their "Weasleys' Wildfire Whiz Bangs" that are even better than "Filibuster’s Fireworks"?  They have a natural talent for making and managing mischief and getting away with it.

They also have a strong bond with Harry.  They gave him their prized Marauder’s Map in PoA and Harry gave them his Tri-Wizard prize money in GoF so they could open their joke shop in Diagon Alley.  In HBP, they consider buying Zonko’s Joke Shoppe in Hogsmeade, but so a contract hasn’t materialized.

Not sure what else Harry and the twins will do together but this bond is important.  They have a natural talent for making mischief and getting away with it.  Again and again I keep thinking Fred, George, solutions and rescuers, Azkaban, Veil.

Checking the stars with Firenze but it might take me a while to figure out which constellations are revealing their secrets.
